The talented and well acclaimed Bharatnatyam exponent Priya Srinivasan gave a splendid performance at People’s University, Bhopal on Friday.
Priya with her sensuous moves and perfect taal-mel with the rhythm she performed with much confidence. Priya gave a performance at the programme organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Bhopal under its horizon series.
Priya began her performance with Teen Taal, Bandish Alaripu. With this performance, she presented her thanks to her gurus of Bharatnatyam. She presented beautiful moves in her first performance.
Then she performed Bharatnatyam over the bhajan by Surdas. Her speedy footwork and wondrous expressions marked her beautiful performance.
Then she performed Abhinaya where she defined the deep love of lord Krishna and radha. Through her facial expressions and dance moves, she wondorously presented the notorious play between Krishna and Radha.
She then performed the dance over bhajan ‘Sri Ram Chant Kripal Bhajuman’, the bhajan by Tulsidas. It was much appreciated by the audience. She wrapped up her performance with presenting the love between Krishna and radha.
She maintained the purity of Bharatnatyam performance in her presentation. An excellent blend of sensuous movements and graceful footwork with absolute control on rhythm was the performance by the dancers enchanted the audience a lot.
This performance was very rhythmical and filled with lot of enthralling footworks that was also enjoyed by the audience. It was a feast for the classical dance lovers.
