Betul Collector told to submit reply

The Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral (CEO) Officer has asked Collector Betul to submit his reply again over the complaint made by Rights activist Ajay Dubey against Information Commissioner GK Dandotiya.

The office of the CEO in a letter to Collector Betul on Tuesday, June 28 said that unsatisfied with your reply in case of complaint filed by Dubey against the unwanted conduct of Information Commissioner Dandotiya the complainant has again made the complaint. You are now instructed to immediately submit your point wise reply to this office.

Dubey in a statement here on Tuesday said that Dandotiya went to Betul for disposal of cases of Right To Information (RTI) on the day of polling for Ghoradongari assembly by-election. We lodged complaint of that with the CEO that asked the Betul Collector to submit report over the issue, he added.

Dubey further said that the Betul Collector submitted false answer to the ECI that we contradicted point to point and appealed the ECI to ask the Collector to check his facts. The ECI accepting our demand asked the Betul Collector today to again submit point wise reply over the issue.

Notably, Dubey in his first complaint to the CEO said that Dandotiya reached Betul on May 3 to organise the district level two day camp for the disposal of appeals under RTI on May 30 and 31, that was scheduled for polling day for the by-election of Ghoradongari assembly constituency of the district.

Betul Collector office informed on May 10 to Dandotiya that due to by-election it is not possible to organise camp on the dates fixed.

He said that despite getting this information Dandotiya went to Betul on May 30 and stayed there till next day that was May 31 and participated in local programs and met several persons that is clear cut case of violation of model code of conduct.
