A 54-year-old Belgium national was found dead under mysterious circumstances at hotel Courtyard Marriot under MP Nagar police station area on Wednesday.
Police said the victim, identified as luekush leon, fainted and collapsed in the room while he was reportedly doing exercise. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Doctors said that the victim died at the hotel itself during the time he was doing exercise. After preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. The victim arrived in the city two days ago and for the past two days he was staying in Marriot hotel.
Deceased used to work for a private firm based in Vishakpatam and arrived in the city regarding some official work.
Company officials of the deceased were informed about the sudden demise of the victim. The police have not received report about the post mortem report which would provide details on the reason of the death of the victim.
Meanwhile, a labour died when a wall collapsed at Sarvadharam Colony under Kolar police station area on Wednesday.
Police said when the victim Gangaram (40) was working at Sarvadharma Colony, a boundary wall collapsed and the victim got trapped in the debris of the wall. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
During the investigation the contractor went missing on Thursday.
The police registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
