BDCA validates DN Singh's cricketing body faction

In a severe blow to Arif Aqueel faction of the Bhopal Divisional Cricket Association (BDCA) enjoying the support of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), the Registrar, Firms and Society validated the Dhruv Narayan Singh faction of the cricketing body.

Singh while talking to the mediapersons on Tuesday said, “The Registrar, Firms and Society has authenticated the elections conducted by us on February 24, this year through its order dated April 6 while it validated DN Singh BDCA President as the ‘party in possession’ at the time of renewal of the association besides recognising the information provided by this faction under Article 27 about the election of the working committee.”

Singh further said that the decision has made it clear that his association was the actual BDCA and that from now no other individual or association could use the name, logo and account of the BDCA. He warned that if anyone else tries to do so, it would be clear

violation of the relevant sections of IPC and hence would face action.

He said, “We would send notice to the rival faction of the BDCA led by Congress MlA from Bhopal North Assembly constituency to stop using BDCA name, logo and account else we would take legal action against them.” Singh, also Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from State capital’s ‘Bhopal Madhya’ assembly constituency, said, “We have not done anything wrong and the registrar decision has came in our favour because we provided all the documents and information needed by his office while our rivals failed to do so, they were only interested in buying time and on all the three hearings held in this regard they just sought time for furnishing details.

He said, “We have written to the MPCA to recognize our body and if the apex cricketing body of the State fails to give us our right we would look for legal options for the same.”

Meanwhile, Aqueel while talking to The Pioneer said, “We have already submitted the documents required by the Registrar and we have the receipt of that from his office. I would decide my future course of action only after going through the order of the Registrar.”
