On behalf of BCLL, the award will be taken by Corporation Commissioner KVS Chaudhary, MIC member Manoj Rathore and Additional Commissioner Chandra Pratap Gohal.
BCLL has been selected for this award as a result of the innovation oriented idea for assured income realization and the model implemented to ensure revenue realisation under Innovative Financing Mechanism for Transport by BCLL, which is probably the country in itself.
Keeping in view the innovative ideas based on private public participation by BCLL from August-2021, 150 diesel buses were started under gross cost model under the AMRUT scheme of the Central Government. A separate agency was selected by issuing tender for revenue receipt under bus operation.
The above model implemented by BCLL was appreciated not only by Madhya Pradesh but also by the Central Government, as a result of which BCLL has been selected for this award. This has made the whole of Madhya Pradesh proud. It is also a matter of pride for such cities of the country where city buses are being operated.
At present, the residents of Bhopal are getting public transport service through 352 buses on 20 different routes approved by the government, in which more than 1.50 lakh passengers are getting benefitted every day.
