The Bhopal City link limited (BCll) on Wednesday launched ‘Chalo’ app which will be useful for daily commuters to help track movement of city low-floor and midi buses. The ‘Chalo’ app was launched by Bhopal Mayor Alok Sharma and BMC Commissioner Priyanka Das.
Mayor Alok Sharma said that this app will enable commuter to track the movement of city buses on their specified route and timely tracking using mobile phone or gadget through live GPS positioning.
The waiting time and inconvenience caused due to the unavoidable delay could be handled with the help of the app. One of the interesting features of the app would be the best possible least time consuming route to reach destination.
On an average if a commuter travels twice in a day it has been found that around 30-40 minutes of the commuter would be saved using the app.
The CEO of BCll Chandramauli Shukla said that the app would have dual benefits as it will save on time for the passengers and make the traffic smooth in the city.
The ‘Chalo’ app is a free mobile app developed by Zophop Technologies Private limited which provides technology-driven transport solutions for better travel.
At present the app is available in 4 languages English, Hindi, Marathi and Bengali. The information which would be the most useful would be the tracking of buses live and arrival time at bus stop.
The app would be useful for the passengers using the city bus services on daily basis and would prove beneficial in reaching their destination on time.
