Barwani Collector Shivraj Singh will participate in a 'brainstorming session' being proposed to way forward the Aspirational Districts Programme(ADP) by NITI Aayog in Delhi. He will share the ideas about the innovations taken in the district for reducing health and nutrition-related challenges.

Singh is the only collector in Madhya Pradesh who has been invited by the CEO of the National Institute for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, Parameswaran Iyer. The collector will put his ideas on innovations launched in the district during the churn session, which will be organised on 12 August.

Altogether, only 15 to 20 collectors who have performed well in the ADP scheme have been called from across the country. Besides collector Singh, state in-charge of ADP Swatantra Kumar Singh will also take part in the session.

The district has shown significant progress in the various sectors suggested by NITI Aayog. It has got the first rank in the country in the recently released data of the Aayog in the Health and Nutrition sector while it has secured the second position in the delta ranking (overall).

112 districts including MP' eight, have been selected under the ADP scheme and 49 key performance indicators including five major sectors (health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development and basic infrastructure) have been fixed.

The NITI Aayog has allocated around Rs 20 crore (maximum in the state) to the district as an award so far for excellent performance.
