Member of Action Council of Barkatullah University and Head of Department of Persian language, Tahira Waheed Abbasi accused Registrar lS Solanki, of allegedly misbehaving with her in public on Friday.
Tahira Abbasi informed that the incident took place she went to the Registrar’s office asking for the settlement of TA/DA (travelling allowances) for the guest speaker who came down to Bhopal from Allahabad for delivering a special lecture. But, Solanki misbehaved with her before the staff members asking her to leave the office.
Meanwhile, Solanki denied misbehaving with Abbasi and said no incident had happened between him and her.
Abbasi further informed that an expert lecturer from Allahabad was invited to the University to deliver a special lecture and to attend the committee meeting of Research Degree. After the meeting was over, the guest lecturer was asked to wait outside the Registrar’s office for the payment of TA/DA. There he waited for about three hours but without showing any courtesy Registrar did not clear the allowances. later, Abbasi went to the Registrar demanding for the clearance of the allowances, but Solanki furiously asked her to leave the office insulting her before the staff members.
Abbasi further alleged that Solanki used abusive language and in an absurd tone told her that he did not hold any authority to clear such allowances asking her to go to the financial controller for the clearance of TA/DA.
On the other hand, Solanki claimed that no such issue had happened and Abbasi was alleging him falsely.
He said that he was in a meeting and that was why he asked her to go to the finance controller.
As Chancellor is out of station, so she has informed the matter to NC Sharma, rector of the department, Abbasi added.
