On the second day of Kala Parv Utsav- Gantantra 2014, a musical concert was presented at the Ravindra Bhavan that left the audience enthralled.
A noted and a renowned musical band Barelal Brass Band from Narsinghpur gave a splendid performance here on Thursday at Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium. Notably, the band was formed in 1939 by Nrasinghpur based musician Barelal and till now the band is being active and present its shows on various occasions like festivals and weddings.
Further, the band only focuses on the songs which are related to some classical ragas. They present a blend of various classical rhythms on stage altogether. The mesmerising performance by the band had magnetised the audience at the show. The band began its performance with the songs Naino Meing Badra Chaye, Jahan Mein Wahan Tu. The performance was followed with the songs like Ae Mere Watan Ke logo, Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh and more melodious songs from Bollywood.
Notably, as many as 28 artists performed live on stage before the art lovers of the city. The innovation the band brings into thier compositions keeping the purity of the classical ragas alive makes them different from others composers and musical bands. As the band members began singing, the audiences were awestruck to witness the programme. They wonderfully blended classical tune into the rhythm of Bollywood melodies which was loved by the audience.
Besides, lead member of the band Mohan Barelal was also felicitated with ‘Abhinav Swarn Samman’ in beginning of programme. The programme was like an extravagance for the music lovers of the city as they enjoyed the show whole heartedly and with a lot of ecstasy.
