The Bank of Baroda, Bhopal Zone observed 112th Foundation Day of the Bank here on Tuesday. On this occasion, various programmes were organised throughout the week in the Bhopal Zone of the Bank.
Foundation Day was observed for the entire week which kicked off with Rangoli and Painting competition at Regional Office of bank. It is to be noted that the Bank staff and their families took part in the programme. Children painted their perceptions on various social and contemporary topics and beautiful and attractive rangoli were made by all the women members. All the art works enthralled the viewers. It is also noteworthy that the painting competition was organized at Sagar Public School. In the competition about 250 children participated. Following the painting competition, a Quiz Competition was organized next day for the staff members. It was organised with the support of Regional Office South Bhopal and Baroda Academy Bhopal.
During the entire Foundation Celebration various programmes were also held under bank's social initiative 'Baroda Anubhuti'. The events that were organised under this initiative were all about social responsibilities and it was held in all the branch offices of the bank.
Under the similar programme, 30 chairs were dinated at Anand Dham Old Age Home by Zonal Head Surendra Sharma. Similarly in another programme, projector was provided for the implementation of Smart Class in the schools of specialy abled children run by the Umang Welfare Society. Later, a plantation drive was also organised by the bank. It was jointly organised in association with Sakaratmak Soch Welfare Society and BMC. As many as 110 saplings were planted in the BHEL area and slso fencing was done for the protection of the plants.
Blood donation camp was also organised with the support of Red Cross organization at the zonal office in which blood donation was done by the staff members of
the bank and their families. Blood donation was carried out in the blood donation camp for the 112th foundation day of the bank. Regional Office Bhopal South also organized Health Camp.
On the last day, the photograph of the founder of Bank of Baroda Maharaja Shri Sayajirao Gaikwad - III, was launched in the zonal office. Apart from this, the SMS and SMEs were inaugurated in South Bhopal Regional Office by zonal head Surendra Sharma. A Cultural evening was also organized in the auditorium of APEX Bank in which Vijay Kumar Nayak, General Manager of the bank was oresent as the chief guest. He congratulated everyone on this glorious achievement by all the bankers and staff members.
Zonal Head Surendra Sharma welcomed all the guests and staff members. The colourful performances were given by various staff members and Deputy Regional Chief Pramod Sharma thanked everyone at the end of the program.
