Two movies ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Haider’ were released on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. on Thursday and received mixed response from the adherent movie lovers.

Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang is an action thriller, directed by Siddhart Anand was unable to captivate the attention of the movie goers. Notably, the Jodi of Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif has already been witnessed by their fans in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, so there was no excitement observed among the fans about this factor as sadly, the duo was unable to create the spark in this movie.

Rajveer Nanda (Hrithik Roshan) is a stylish thief with amazing abilities; one of them is his talent of crossing a lake in just one breath. He takes up the challenge thrown at the world, preferably Indians, by an international terrorist Omar Zafar (Danny).

The challenge was that he has to steal the dazzling Kohinoor from a london museum. He duly does that but somehow decides to not give it to Zafar. It starts a cat-and-mouse game between the two.The film is an official remake of Tom Cruise starrer Knight and Day. But, somewhere the film loses its focus and becomes too wretched in pace. The tedious dialogues bore the audience even more and the same treatment given by Siddhart Anand as he gave in Ta Ra Rum Pum and Anjana Anjani again disappoints the movie goers.

Overall, the adherent lovers of Hrithik and Katrina were observed at the theatres but left them with a sigh of disappointment. On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor and Shradha Kapoor starrer Haider is one of the masterpieces created in Bollywood till now.The movie goers of the city gave a positive response for the movie Haider. Adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Director Vishal Bharadwaj brings out the best of Shahid Kapoor. There’s nothing much to tell about the story as Bharadwaj maintains the emotions and concept apt which makes the movie even more exciting to watch. Kay Kay Menon and Tabu were outstanding in their respective roles.

As a whole, the movie received an overwhelming response by Bhopalites and is a must watch for the movie appreciators who look for more than entertainment in theatres.
