Marking the second day of BV Karanth Smriti Samroh being organised at Gandhi Bhavan, a ballet Prakruti was staged. ‘Prakruti’ is all about saving the environment and was staged here on Wednesday at Gandhi Bhavan.

Notably, the fest is being organised by Children’s Theatre Akademi, Bhopal to pay a tribute to the one of the best playwrights of the theatre, BV Karanth. It is noteworthy that the festival is being organised under Guru Shishya Parampara.

The ballet describes the importance of nature as well as environment. It defines that how the sun, the mood, rain, and tree struggle to give sunlight, water, shelter, fruit  to us. At the same time, it also raises the questions that nature gives a lot of things but instead of what we do for her. It also sends out the message that we should also do for her existence and to save nature.

Talking about it, Vaishali Gupta said, “It is first show of this ballet. The concept to stage this ballet is to save environment and also make awareness among youth that how nature is important for us and they should think how and what they can do for nature.  Also they should think that if we take from nature then they should give to nature.”

Scripted by Shushrut Gupta, choreographed by city-based well-known theatre director and choreographer Vaishali Gupta and the ballet was presented beautifully by 25 artists of Ardhya Kala Samiti, Bhopal.  The duration of this ballet was 45 minutes. Sets, costumes, lights and music were handled aptly which highlighted moods of play.
