Bajrang Dal activists oppose mass Namaz in DB Mall, police claim issue resolved

Bajrang Dal activists chanted Hanuan chalisa staging protest against mass offering of Namaz at common passage meant for fire exit at ground floor of DB Mall in MP Nagar on Saturday. The activists opposed and threatened that if this practice continues, they will organise mass Hanuman Chalisa with a massive group in front of DB Mall.

DCP Zone 2 Sharaddha Tiwari said that activists were opposing the offering of Namaz as it is not a religious place after police received information of matter the police team reached and with the intervention of police, the matter was pacified.

None of the parties have lodged complaints and the issue was resolved with mutual understanding, she added.

Ruckus started after Bajrang Dal activists raised objections to the offering of Namaz in the mall. The matter escalated after activists had a heated argument with the mall management.

The chaos continued for over one hour  as objections were raised in DB City for offering prayers by a particular community.

Bajrang Dal activist Dinesh Yadav said that we had received information here that Namaz is being offered secretly in Bhopal's DB Mall. We spotted the site and when asked by the manager, he refused to let such a thing happen in DB Mall, after that we staged a protest through bhajans.

After which the management swung into action. We have warned that if this happens again, Hanuman Chalisa will be performed on a large scale in front of the gate of DB Mall.

The Bajrang Dal workers sat down to perform bhajans in front of the Namazis who were offering mass prayers. The matter got heated after a heated argument with the mall management. For the first time in MP, Namaz has been offered in a mall.
