Anil Chopra- Group CEO and Director of Bajaj Capital, in an official statement said the complainant, NK Singh never made any alleged investment of Rs9.9 lakh with Bajaj Capital and Bajaj Capital limited. In fact, Singh and his family members have made investment of Rs9.9 lakh in Fixed Deposit Scheme of Mumbai based Company, namely, M/s Micro Technologies India limited. Bajaj Capital limited being reputed financial product distribution Company has mobilised deposits for hundreds of Companies through its clients for the last 50 years and M/s Micro Technologies India limited is one such Company, he added.

“I wish to state the facts that NK Singh never came to Bajaj Capital limited Office for making deposits with M/s Micro Technologies India limited. On the other hand, he invested the amounts on reference from one individual Sub Broker based in Bhopal city and personally known to NK Singh. Bajaj Capital limited has empanelled more than 5,000 Sub Brokers in whole of India to route investments of their clients through our Company. As such Bajaj Capital’s role is that of a collecting agent or a facilitator,” Chopra said.

The amount of Rs9.9 lakh was directly invested by Singh and his family members with cheques favouring M/s Micro Technologies India limited for which proper Fixed Deposit Receipts were issued and duly received by NK Singh.

The investments were made in various months in the year 2012 and in October 2013 NK Singh approached Bajaj Capital, Bhopal Office through his Agent for pre-mature withdrawal of his Fixed Deposit Receipts. The same were duly acknowledged and forwarded to Registrar of Micro Technologies India Fixed Deposit Scheme, namely, M/s link Intime India Pvt. limited in Mumbai.
