The Madhya Pradesh Congress has warned of agitation if the State Government fails to withdraw the charges against police personnel in Baihar police station of Balaghat district incident and demanded fair inquiry of the incident.
Former spokespersons of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Arif Masood on Friday handed over a memorandum to DGP Rishi Shukla demanding fair investigation into the matter which disturbed the communal fabric of the area. It is the first case in which police personnel have been made accused of robbery and attempt to murder and in case if State government fails to withdraw the charges, the Congress would agitate, he added. The objectionable post circulated on social media by RSS activists hurting Muslim sentiments lead to the worsening of the situation, he informed.
