While the Republic Day is only five days away, the artists are working in their highest spirit for preparing the tableaux of departments here at lal Parade Ground.
The tableaux are being constructed without any hindrance in spite of the bad weather on Monday. The theme chosen for this year’s presentation is ‘Farmers’. The entire set of tableaux will be ready for the final rehearsal on January 24.
Sighting the bad weather, it was suspected that there will be a delay in the preparation of tableaus, but the experienced workers of the camp managed to continue their work at the same speed. According to the cultural department camp in-charge Vijay Shravan, by next year there will be a permanent shed constructed above the working area as it is a regular working area for them.
“There is fire engine for safety, toilet for workers and carpets above the tableaus to temporarily protect them from weather. The workers will finish the work by January 23 and the tableaus will take part in the final rehearsals on January 24. The theme for this year’s presentation is ‘Farmer’ and the benefits the peasants get from various schemes of the State Government towards their development,” added Vijay Shravan.
In all there are 19 tableaus being prepared at the venue for participating in the Republic Day parade. The list of the departments preparing tableaus are- Horticulture Department, Tribal and SC Welfare Department, Agriculture Department, Home (Police) Department, Public Relations Department, Water Resources Department, Jail Department, Narmada Valley Development Department, New and Renewable Energy Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Election Commission of India, Mandi Board, MP State Cooperative Marketing Federation, MP Science and Technology Council, Public Health and Family Welfare department, Forest Department, Commerce, Industry, Employment Dept, Coop Department.
