The Department of Pharmacology of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, successfully conducted an awareness campaign on Materiovigilance at the SubCentre, and Government primary School, Ashapuri Bhopal (M.P.). The event aimed to educate the local community and children about the crucial role of Materiovigilance in safeguarding the safety and efficacy of medical devices and treatments.

AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Prof Ajai Singh emphasized the importance of this initiative, saying, "Ensuring the safety of medical devices is as important as ensuring the safety of medicines. This campaign plays a crucial role in making people aware of Materiovigilance, empowering them to actively participate in improving healthcare safety. AIIMS Bhopal is committed to such initiatives that strengthen patient safety and build a more informed society."

The event was filled with fun activities and interesting talks, where everyone learned why it's important to keep an eye on how medical products are working and to report any problems or side effects. Participants discovered how they can help by spotting and sharing issues with medical products, which can improve health for everyone. The campaign also showed how important it is for both doctors and patients to work together to make sure medical devices and treatments are safe, effective, and good quality. By encouraging everyone to take responsibility, the event highlighted the strong link between healthcare workers, patients, and the community in making sure medical products are used correctly and safely.
