Crime branch of Bhopal police have seized two pistols during the investigation of the notorious criminal who had opened fire on cops injuring two police personnel belonged to one UP STF and other with Crime Branch Bhopal on September 27, 2014.
Pplice said Anshu Dixit who was arrested in December 2014, had confessed hiding two pistols in the city when he was absconding. During the period, Dixit produced fake documents for rent agreement and was living in Saket Nagar area with the name of Aditya Mishra. Based on the information provided him, a Maruti Swift car used by him was searched in Delhi area but police failed to find it in the area.
Notably, a team comprising police personnel from UP STF and crime branch Bhopal was made on September 27, 2014 after receiving information of Anshu Dixit’s whereabouts, who had fled from police custody in 2013. Before the team would nab his accomplices they opened fire in which two police personnel were injured. However, Anshu was successfully arrested on December 6, 2014.
During investigation UP STF traced Anhsul’s location in the State capital and later reached to nab him. During the attack, Sub Inspector Sandeep Mishra of UP STF and constable of crime branch Bhopal Raghvendra Pandey sustained bullet injuries.
