ATS Technology manager held

Manager of ATS Technology who is the main accused in the Sanskrit Board fake mark sheet scam has been arrested by the STF on Sunday.  Owner of ATS Technology and Vice Chairman of MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad Ajay Mehta was questioned at the STF office on Sunday.

At ATS Technology the printing of the mark sheets was done but Mehta had claimed that they are only service providers and Hyderabad based firm is responsible for the mark sheets.

Mehta has also claimed that Harshit is responsible for facilitating the whole process of printing and he is not aware of the scam.Investigation done by the STF could be termed as ‘selective’ as Mehta was let free after questioning and was not named in the FIR filed by the STF on Saturday. In the whole investigation role of STF remains suspicions as specific accused are provided immunity while the remaining are not privileged of such premiums.

STF is handling several examinations scams and the trend of selective investigation and action could be seen as a common pattern. Mehta has been booked earlier in the PMT examination scam. Kamal Mourya STF AIG told that the manager of the ATS Technology Harshit Shrivastava has been arrested and is under investigation.

Complaints about the fake mark sheet scams were received earlier and on investigation it was that around data of around 600 mark sheets has been alerted. In the investigation it was found that the students who failed in the examinations where updated as in the system as ‘passed ones’ and the mark sheets were printed according to the altered numbers in the examinations, he added.

After the fake mark sheet scam surfaced several school directors of private schools would come under scanner.

Earlier on  Saturday an FIR against Harshit Shrivastava(Bhopal), Ramlakhan Sirothia(Seoni),  Udal Singh Thakur (Datia), Hariprasad Tomar(Rajgarh), Tejbali Patel(Rewa), Devendra alias Guddu Mishra(Sidhi) and  Triveni Bais( Singrauli).  A case under section 420, 467,468, 471 of the IPC and 65 and 66 of the Information Technology Act was registered on Saturday.
