Adhyapak Samvida Sanyukt Morcha Madhya Pradesh’ (Contract Teachers’ United Front MP) will stage a dharna on Sunday protesting against the absence of an anomaly free order to pay the announced 6th pay scale that was previously approved by the cabinet four months back. Many teachers from across the state will take part in the rally that would also be taken out on the occasion.
While talking to the mediapersons here on Saturday, the state president of the ASSMMP Brijesh Sharma alleged that the Chief Minister is trying to close the education department through the non merger of the adhyapak cadre and added that the payment of 6th pay scale should have started by April 2016 which is a violation of the cabinet decision.
Even after 20 years of service there is no insurance policy, voluntary transfer policy, promotion of senior teachers, medical claim and pension. Corruption of crore of rupees in contributory fund deduction, time bound pay scale against the rules and direct recruitment rules in appointment on compassionate grounds are unresolved issues.
The convener of the ASSMMP Manohar Dubey said that the Chief Minister announced ‘same work same pay’ for the Adhyapak cadre on July 22, 2013 which has not been followed yet. He further added that the government has once again brought them on road to protest and demonstrate until they get their rights due to the non-fulfillment of the promise.
The co-convener of ASSMMP Rakesh Nayak and Vishveswar Jariya said that on January 5, 2016 the council of ministers decided to give the 6th pay scale starting January 1, 2016 instead of September 1, 2016. Hence the pay scale is to be allocated based on the decision on September 4, 2013 along with the interim relief money.
Notably, the officials precisely did not include the interim amount arrears of the revised wages and fixed the wages from January 1, 2016 and are preparing to recover the installments from that only.
To solve the issues attempts were made to meet the Chief Minister, but could not get through, Dubey added. If the government does not respond in a positive way then the ASSMMP will continue the strike, he added.
