The State Assembly building would be open for visitors on Sundays, starting from August 16 from 11 am to 9 pm. Tourist and citizens would be able to visit the outer portion of the state assembly premises.
During the visiting hours, canteen and dispensary would remain open. The visitors would be given entrance based on the identity card. New system for making the library of the state assembly more useful would be implemented told speaker of the state assembly Sitasharan Sharma.
The building has been designed by renowned architect Charles Correa and was awarded with Agha Khan award.
Under the new system, during the working hours, State government employees, senior citizens, research students, freedom fighters and intellectuals could use the library.
