An exhibitioncum-sale is being organised at Gauhar Mahal by the Assam Government of Handicraft which is evoking a good response by the buyers. This mela is all about handicraft and handloom materials. The mela shares a major collection of dress materials, enthralling the ladies. The stalls of household decoration would captivate a big crowd at the spot. One could find a wonderful collection been designed in different patterns and prints. There are printed materials beautifully embroidered with Batik Print, Dabu Print, Hand-Block Print and one of the most renowned and loved in all seasons, Bagh Print there.
Such fairs always showcase traditional items for the buyers and Gauhar Mahal has got all the Handicraft and Handloom stuff from across the State. One could have a look at the varieties, may it be earthen pots to household accessories, and all could be found in one roof. Not only varieties of dress material it has a variety of decorative items.
