Social networking site facebook no longer remains a platform for just making friends and doing debate on score of subjects; it has now been used by the artists to launch their work. Artists from Madhya Pradesh also not lag behind in using modern technology to promote their work and are using social networking sites to reach art lovers.
In a similar attempt Gwalior resident Vineet Pandit who is serving as IT lecturer in Muscat, Oman has launched his Ghazal album Zikr-e-Gham through social networking sites facebook and YouTube.
Pandit while talking to The Pioneer from Oman said, “It is for the first time that we have released our album through facebook and YouTube for the social networking site users.”
Pandit further said that the album titled Zikr-e-Gham has four ghazals in it, all written by Figaar Dehalvi while the music arrangement is done by Navneet Kaushal and music composition and singing is done by me.

On being asked as why he decided to use internet for launching his album Pandit replied that we want to provide good music and lyrics through net because this is best medium to reach good listener. The social media is the best platform to present myself and reach maximum people, he added.
He said Zikr-e-Gham is his second album, while his first album was ‘Swatantrata ke swar’ and it was released in 2006 in Gwalior for Bharat Vikas Parishad it was based on very popular book of Bharat Vikas Parishad ‘Chetna ke swar.’
Pandit said that singing is my hobby and that he has learned music in Gwalior only from his mother Sulekha Pandit.
He said that it is only the sound track of Zikr-e-Gham album that has been launched now but once he reach India in July plans are on to make video of the same. Hopefully it would be shot in Madhya Pradesh only, he added.
