The Bhopalites are witnessing the wonderful tribal culture through a painting exhibition being put up at Rangdarshini Gallery, Bharat Bhavan.

There is a tremendously wonderful combination of years’ old tradition carved in new form over canvas.

Narrating the rich artistic concepts among the tribes, as many as 12 tribal folk artists have displayed their creations before the Bhopalites. All the paintings being put up by the professional tribal artists showcases the creativity of their skill and craft.

The tribals live with their tradition and define it in their creativity as all the paintings have distinctive features portraying the scenes, birds, animals and human faces on dark and vibrant colours.

The paintings have brown or black base. The fine lines and geometrical figures painted in red, blue and white acrylic and oil colours make them look more appealing to the eyes. The vibrant colours in the paintings clearly define the richness and elegancy of the tribal culture.

The spectators could witness the traditional folk art of different tribes under one roof. The exhibition is like a treat for art lovers. They are mesmerised by the art forms being displayed there.

Where one painting states about the richness of culture, one potrays the years old traditions and customs being practiced in their community. According to the artists, this is one of the best ways to describe  their traditions and cultures and spread awareness in the masses about it.
