As the earthquake hit Kathmandu and some parts of India on Saturday, some tremors were felt in Bhopal as well. Huge human life has been lost due to the recent earthquake and to pay the heartfelt tribute to the sufferers, senior artist Ramesh Khare made a painting of the earthquake affected areas.
Khare, who hails from Mhow, always paints the nature and its moods. Recently, his exhibition was put up at the Rangdarshini Gallery, Bharat Bhavan that concluded on Sunday. He created a painting on Kathmandu earthquake showcasing the massive damage made by the bad mood of nature.
Notably, in most of his creations, the artist showcased the integral beauty of nature including mountain, tree, animal, village, filed, city, foreground and many more in geometrical shapes including triangles, rectangles, and cylindrical forms in all works. The beautiful impression, colour composition, lines, form, and textures and tonal quality added more charm in artist’s works. He mostly used yellow, green and brown in all works which described the natural beauty superbly.
In his recent painting, he painted the damaged buildings, crying people and damaged human life. About his painting on earthquake, he said, “It is really sad that the people have been suffered badly by the bad mood of nature. My painting is a tribute to all the sufferers and also a pray for them.”
About his painting techniques, he said, “I’ve been exhibiting my many solo and group shows across country for past many years including Bharat Bhavan. I mostly work in abstract form in my own style.”
“I’ve been watching the works of artist for last five years. Every time I feel changes in his works. The colour application and tonal technique are used very well. Here artist used one colour with different tones including transparent, opaque and bright beautifully which provides depth in all work. Sometimes it gives the effect of broken glass and waves of water.”
