An art exhibition is being organised for the art lovers of the city. Alliance Française de Bhopal, the Indo-French Cultural Centre, with the support of French Embassy of India, organised an exhibition of paintings entitled ‘To be Together’ by Vijay Kale from Indore.
The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned theatre artist and playwright Alok Chatterjee at Alliance Française de Bhopal, Art Gallery, on Wednesday. The exhibition will be on view till June 23 at the gallery.
While talking about his works and his art, Vijay said, “I am a believer and I paint through this belief. The power of unknown fascinates me. My work represents the power of almighty. I am in love with their life, their 'leela' and the power to create and destroy.”
Elaborating further, he said, “I try to feel it through colours, forms and lines in my painting. I try to depict their 'Oneness' as gods and human beings. It's really fun to feel one with him i.e. god while painting. I have a feeling of togetherness and I believe in that.”
In all his paintings he has showcased togetherness with objects, surrounding, with habitat, fauna flora and with the smallest particle on earth. He feels all these objects have small life as him. “These objects have same life as mine, which is given by him. I feel and paint and paint and feel,” he added.
Vijay works on real life objects. Giving a definite texture, this young artist perfectly defines the expressions, emotions and feeling of joy, sorrow, loneliness, togetherness and much more through his portrayals over the canvas.
Bringing the elements of art together, he applies markings of lines giving a different texture to the background to the canvas. The result is an emotional body of work, both pleasing to the eye and to the mind. The exhibition was much appreciated by the art lovers of the city.
