A distinct court here on Tuesday issued arrest warrant of Congress MlA Hemant Katare’s in rape case of a journalism student.
To cover failure after failing to nab Katare police declared him absconder and declared a cash reward of Rs 10000 for providing his whereabouts. Several places have been raided by police and SIT in search of Katare and Vikramjeet but all in vain.
Police have also appealed for attachment of property of Katare but none of the efforts fructified as he is still missing and releasing videos to claim his innocence and putting blame on the girl for fabricating the whole episode.
The senior official of crime branch was named by the victim girl in threatening her and trying to persuade her to withdraw the case but the girl braved and lodged complaint against Katare. The role of two officials remained under scanner as the victim girl claimed that she was intimidated by them.
The SIT could be termed as ‘Simply Investigate to pass Time’ as the SIT formed was with the aim to handle the investigation in a speedily manner.
