Home Minster Babulal Gaur on Sunday reviewed the progress of police investigation in the brutal murder of criminal Arjun Tyagi who was shot dead from point blank range in the central jail by another criminal, Jitu Thakur.
The Home Minster said that he is happy with the performance of the State police. And this type of incident is a sudden incident and when there will be such incidents then only we will come to know about the loopholes in the system. Police has initiated all the three types of investigation ie judicial, magistrial and departmental. He told that the internal and external security system of jail will be totally renewed and jail personnel who are responsible will be punished.
On being asked about the implementation of Police Commissioner system in Madhya Pradesh Gaur didn’t answer the question completely and spoke two words ‘no police’ and hinted that it is not required in Madhya Pradesh. Sources said that the Police Commissioner system is very helpful to curb the crime as it increases the judicial powers of police system and police can deal with the criminal more efficiently. He told that the jammer system will be installed in jails. On asking about the white collared (safed posh) people who support the criminals he immediately told the media person that you are also safed posh.
