Archbishop congratulates teachers on Teachers’ Day

Published on:

Archbishop Leo Cornelio congratulated all the teachers and the staff of all the education institutions for their noble task of moulding and shaping the future India in their respective classrooms on the occasion of Teachers Day.

Teacher is that important link in the society which sows the seeds of nation-building among the children. Teachers and students live every day in an environment where there is constant interaction between them.

The teachers are held in high esteem for their commitment to uphold the human values like peace, justice and equality of all humans through their day to day interaction with the students of 21st century.

It is said that – a teacher’s income increases with increase in knowledge and prosperity of people and nation.

That’s why we should be proud of all dedicated teachers who sacrifice their time and energy for the building up of human society.

However, in the prevailing circumstances, face-to-face communication is not possible while online communication has become the new normal.

All the same, this does not have the same effect as in the classroom. Nevertheless, all the people associated with the education world are worthy of being congratulated for their learning skills and their herculean efforts to ensure that the education of the children is not unduly affected. Some states have gradually started opening schools beginning with higher classes. Here also the role of teachers becomes important since they have to accomplish their teachership while, at the same time, keeping in mind their own safety and of their students.
