The State Government has introduced a scheme from year 2007-08 to organise sports and cultural/intellectual competitions to promote outstanding scheduled caste players. The outstanding scheduled caste players belonging to Madhya Pradesh who take part in national level competitions are awarded and given incentive money at a state level function. Applications for the scheme have been invited from such players who have participated in individual and team competitions at national level from January 1 to December 31, 2013. The applications in prescribed proforma with certificate of participation in national level competitions may be submitted personally or by registered post by November 15, 2014 to the office of the Commissioner, Scheduled Castes Development, 35 Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal. It is noteworthy that a reward of Rs21,000 is given to gold medalist of national level competitions, Rs15,000 to silver medalist, Rs11,000 to bronze medalist and Rs4000 is given to those who merely participate in national level competitions. For team events, Rs10,000 is given to gold medalists, Rs7000 to silver medalist and Rs5000 is given to bronze medalist.
