The Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana is being implemented by the public distribution system. The State Government is going to introduce ‘Apni Suvidha-Apna Ration Yojana’ in municipal corporation areas in the State from August. For this, POS machines will be installed at fair price shops. Food grains will be provided after biometric verification (thumb impression) on these machines. The scheme will be implemented in municipal corporation areas of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar, Chhindwara, Singrauli, Satna, Ratlam, Katni, Rewa and Morena. Food and Civil Supplies Department has issued directives to district collectors regarding scheme’s implementation.
