Antony JC DeSa will be 29th Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh. The State government has issued orders to appoint Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and Transport, Antony JC DeSa as the new Chief Secretary following retirement of Chief Secretary R Parasuram.
Antony JC DeSa belongs to the 1980 batch of Indian Administrative Service. JC DeSa was born on October 9, 1956 in Maharashtra. He was educated in Mumbai University and at Harvard University in the US where he took a Master's degree. He has served in Bilaspur, Jabalpur and as Collector in Chhindwara.
He had also been Housing Commissioner. During Central deployment, he served as Director in the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Controller of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Before being posted as Additional Chief Secretary in the State, he was on deputation to the United Nations Organisation for 5 years. In a separate order, the State Government has posted Additional Chief Secretary, Home IS Dani as Officer on Special Duty at RCVP Academy of Administration.
