Another flyover (grade separator) is going to be built in Narela assembly constituency. The grade separator will be constructed at Prabhat Square at a cost of about Rs 35 crore. On Saturday, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang along with district administration and PWD officials inspected Prabhat Square for the proposed flyover.
Minister Sarang informed that grade separator will be constructed at Prabhat Square in Narela Vidhan Sabha, which will be the sixth flyover of this area. Earlier, 4 flyovers have been approved in Narela area and Chetak Bridge has been widened. Traffic has started on Subhash ROB. The construction work on Nishatpura ROB is in progress and the construction of Aishbagh and Dwarka Nagar ROB will start soon. The construction of grade separator at Prabhat Square will reduce the traffic pressure.
Minister Sarang said that the construction of grade separator at Prabhat Square is an ambitious project. Earlier, ROB has been constructed at Subhash Nagar railway crossing, which is running smoothly. Every day 5 to 7 lakh people are benefitting from ROB. In order to reduce the traffic pressure on Prabhat Square and Raisen road, a 750 meters long and 15 meters wide grade separator is being constructed on the road between Raisen road and station at a cost of about Rs 35 crores.
Minister Sarang said that whatever the route to reach the station in any city, there should be ease of traffic on it. This ensures the concept of an ideal city development.
With the construction of grade separator at Prabhat Square, about 6 to 8 lakh citizens of BHEL including new and old Bhopal will take half the time to cover the distance to reach the station and will get rid of traffic jams.
Minister Sarang said that in the next fifteen days, the tender for the construction of grade separator will be done and the construction work will start in one to one and a half months and its construction will be completed in about one and a half year.
