Panic prevailed in Piplakhedi village under Berasia police station area after the body of a woman was found in a well on Saturday. Within a week, it is the second body found in the same area.
According to the Police body of a woman in the age group of 25-30 years was spotted in a well at Piplakhedi village. Soon after the body was found police were informed and the body was sent for the postmortem.
Police said that the circumstantial evidences suggest that the victim has been killed and after being killed the body was dumped in the well. A stone was tied to the body to keep it tanked but it is possible that the body lost the grip and it surfaced.
Several injury marks were visible on the body which suggest that the victim was stabbed multiple times using a sharp edged weapon and she struggled to save herself but failed in the bid.
The victim was killed around a week ago and was dumped. Ascertaining the reason of the death is not possible and could be confirmed after receiving the post mortem report.
The body has been damaged and decomposed due to which it is difficult to establish the identity of the victim. Surprisingly a sacked body of a man in the age group of 25-30 years was recovered around 5 days ago in the same area and the victim is yet to be identified.
It is possible that both the murders are linked and would be investigated. After the body of the woman was found on Saturday Police have intensified the investigation of the murder cases.
