An unidentified man was found hanging dead with a tree near railway tracks under Baghsewania police station area on Sunday; blood was found near the spot and on clothes which raises suspicion over the death.
After spotting a man hanging from a tree at around 12 in the afternoon locals informed police and on the receipt a team reached the spot and started investigation.
The identity of the deceased was not established as nothing was found from the spot or clothes which could establish his identity.
In the initial investigation it was found that man was hanging but he was killed and hanged or he committed suicide could not be ascertained. The circumstantial evidences suggest that blood found at the spot could be of the deceased and injury marks were also found and he might have been killed and hanged to make the murder look like suicide.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police have found injury marks of wrist which look like wrists were silted but more could be revealed after post mortem report is received.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence at Patanjali colony under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased Radhika Bharti was found hanging by the family members and taken to hospital where she was declared dead. Body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
