A 43-year-old woman was attacked brutually by her husband with a hammer in Gautam Nagar area four days ago; the accused was angry over her leaving home with children.
Anita Parihar was attacked by her husband Sangram Singh four days ago while she was on her way to work. She was hit by a hammer in her head and tried to kill her by strangulating her and she is still struggling for life at hospital.
The woman left her husband three years ago after failing to bear his atrocities as he used to assault her, demand money for liquor. Anita Parihar, who lives in Gautam Nagar police station area, lives with 18-year-old daughter Nikita and son Nikhil.
Sangram used to take contracts but then he left the work and became dependent on his wife's earning for living.
Anita said that the husband used to beat her brutually. The children were not allowed to go to study and the daughter managed to till class 10. After this, she started living separately with the children while Sangram would visit and pressurize her to live together and fight over refusal.
Four days ago when Anita was on her way to work Sangram came and attacked her in the head with a hammer and hit multiple times in the face and body and tried to kill her by strangling her, locals rescued her. The accused is absconding and search for the accused has been started.
Daughter of the victim said that her father used to beat her for having school bags and books, he faced great difficulty in studies to reach class 10. He should be jailed for the attack.
