Anish Abbasi, the BJP minority secretary of Delhi Pardesh has organized the e-shram card registration drive to let the workers in the unorganized sector register for the e-shram card.
Launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, e-shram card is a card with a 12-digit Unique Identity Number (UAN) which will be unchanged for the worker’s lifetime. The motto of e-shram card is very simple: Aadhar card provides unique identification to every citizen of India and similarly, the e-shram card number will provide the unique identity to the workers/ laborers.
E-shram cards offer a wide variety of benefits to the laborers such as two lakhs accidental insurance under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, one lakh financial assistance in case of partial disability and many more benefits.
The E-shram card holders will be eligible to get pension after the age of 60 years. There is no need to renew the card, instead workers are required to update the e-shram account annually (once in a year).The E-Shram Card registration drive provides laborers with all the information about various schemes launched by the government and lets them understand the facilities they will get through this program. At the drive, they can apply not only the e-Shram Cards but also PAN cards, Aadhar cards, voter ID cards, Caste certificates, Pardhan Mantri business loans, alpsankhyak education loans, insurance schemes, etc.The E-Shram Card registration drive was held at Yojna Kendra camp address: bank colony road near Samuday Bhawan mandoli Delhi 110093 mobile no 9871989123 between 15 May to 25 May 10 AM to 5 PM.The age limit for applying for the E-shram card is 16-59 years. To register for the E-shram card, applicants are required to provide their Aadhar card and the mobile number linked with the Aadhar and a valid bank account. Applicants can self-register themselves through the e-shram portal, state government regional offices in districts or sub-districts or in common service centers.Anish Abbasi says, “the E-Shram Card Registration Drive helps many workers in the unorganized sector to get registered for the e-shram card. And the workers will get many benefits like 2 lakhs accidental insurance and one lakh financial assistance for partial disability and pension.”
