The legendary actor of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan and actress Jaya Bachchan inaugurated the 115th showroom of Kalyan Jewellers in Bhopal on Friday. It is the first showroom of Kalyan Jewellers in the city.
On the occasion, Chairman and Managing Director Kalyan Jewellers TS Kalyanraman, Executive Director (marketing) Ramesh Kalyanraman and Executive Director (Finance) Rajesh Kalyanraman were also present.
Jaya became the first customer at the showroom. She selected a beautiful piece of jewellery from one of Kalyan Jewellery Collections. It is to be noted that all the Kalyan Jewellery Collections are available at the showroom, wooing the shopaholics from the very first day of its launch.
Amitabh Bachchan was warmly welcomed by the Bhopalites. As he entered the venue, chants of his name could be heard loudly. He addressed the crowd with much affection and kindness. While addressing the event Amitabh said, “Bhopal is not an unknown place for me. I keep visiting the city very often.” Maintaining his classy wit, he added, “Main is sheher ka jamai hoon.” To which the crowd responded enthusiastically.
later, Amitabh took a selfie with the crowd. Talking about Kalyan Jewellers, Amitabh Bachchan said, “I am moved with the honesty of Kalyan Jewellery family. The way they work and present their collection is phenomenal. The reason I am tied-up with Kalyan family is because they are trustworthy in jewellery market.”
On the other hand, Jaya also addressed the event. She said, “I have many memories connected with this city. I often come here to meet my friends and family.” Jaya’s mother Indira Bahaduri was also present on the venue.
On this short visit, Jaya also met some of her school friends. After that Bachchans took off for Mumbai. Notably, they inaugurated another showroom at lucknow on the same day.
