A 19-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her residence in Bagonia village under Parwalia police station area on Saturday.
According to the police, the deceased, Amreen Khan, was found hanging in the night around 12 by the family members and was declared dead when taken to hospital. Police were informed and based on the information, a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
Police have not found any suicide note and no reason was found behind the suicide. The deceased had an altercation over some issue with her mother and later committed suicide which is seen as possible reason behind the suicide.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a woman in the age group of 50 years was found dead near Aisbagh stadium on Saturday evening; Aishbagh police have registered case and started investigation. According to the police, a woman was found dead near a nullah at Aishbagh stadium and after spotting her police were informed.
Police said that the deceased remained unidentified. A rag picker spotted the body who had earlier helped her as she was suffering from ill but her identity remained unknown. The police have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the woman died of illness and further details could be revealed after the post mortem report is received.
