The creations of women artists will be displayed at Alliance Francaise de Bhopal where the art lovers of the city will be able to explore the colours of untold creativity. Notably, Alliance Française de Bhopal, the Indo-French Cultural Centre, with the support of French Embassy of India, is organizing an exhibition of paintings entitled ‘Shree’. Beginning here from Saturday the exhibition will showcase the creations put up by ten women artists of Indore Artmate Group at Alliance Française de Bhopal, Gallery. The exhibition will be inaugurated by eminent ceramist Nirmala Sharma.
The inauguration will be followed by a Kathak dance performance by Mrs.Nayna Dev. The exhibition will be all about creativity. Notable, Shree is a Sanskrit word which means Creativity. It also has many more meanings and the most important one is the lakshmi, Goddess of wealth. Another meaning of Shree is Beauty. Here a group of women artists are going to present the beauty of their soul on canvas and their creativity is expressed in the form of colours, lines and figures.
They are all creative and active women in their own respect. The spectators will see the flavor of imagination woven in to colours. In this exhibition all artists gave one common thread behind which there is one more meaning of the word Shree i.e., auspicious. Moreover, the Kathak dancer Nayna Dev will also present the beautiful moves and gestures of Kathak on the occasion. The event is open to all art lovers and will be on view will April 14.
