Allegations based on affidavits filed by Katare before ECI: BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan on Wednesday replied to the letter of leader of Opposition in state assembly Satyadev Katare, stating that the allegations leveled by BJP against him (Katare) were based on the affidavits filed by him (Katare) before the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Chouhan in his letter to leader of Opposition said, “I am hopeful that a copy of the affidavits would be with you as it was you who filed them before the ECI. Please, go through them, you would come to know that you have provided four different number of PAN cards on four occasions in the column affixed for providing this information. This proves that you posses four PAN cards.”

Chouhan further said that the affidavits filed by you are also available on the website of ECI.

Chouhan said that I have also come to know that your wife sold property worth crores in Bhopal district but despite being mandatory you did not mentioned this in the affidavit filed by you while filing the election nomination in 2008 that is a crime. This is not expected from a senior people’s representative like you who is accountable to the assembly and the common man, he added.

He said that the affidavit filed by you before the ECI in 2008 and the records of the land records of Bhopal district also prove that you hold many PAN cards. It is now expected from you that you would clarify the issue publicly, he added.

The BJP state president further alleged that you were supposed to provide information about the ancestral property and the property you earned on your own in the affidavit filed by you in 2008 but you did not.
