The State Congress on Thursday alleged that all sections of the society including farmers, women and youth are distressed under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule in Madhya Pradesh. Union Minister for Urban Development Kamalnath while addressing a public meeting at Seoni said, “The development has come to halt in the State and the law and order has completely collapsed in the State.”

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President and MP Kantilal Bhuria and leader of opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh also addressed the meet.

Kamalnath said that the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA)  Government of the centre is generously providing financial assistance to the State Government but rampart corruption is going on in that and the State Government is launching the Central Government funded schemes by putting its stamp on them and is planning to get electoral benefit from them.  But now the Congress workers are alert at every level and would let the BJP succeed in its complot, he added.

The Union minister of Urban Development announced to provide Rs 100 crore for various public beneficiary schemes from the centre to the Seoni Municipal Corporation and Barghat and lakhnadon Nagar Panchayat of the Seoni district.
