leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has alleged that desperate statement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan indicates his incapability.
Singh was commenting on the statement of Chouhan on Saturday during State executive meeting of the BJP, in which he had said that he would hang the district Collectors upside down, if they donot work properly or upto the expectations.
Singh further said that after 14 years of rule in the State, Chief Minister’s statement suggests that whatever claims he has made so far towards development and good governance, were false. “If the Chief Minister is not able to administer the Government, he should step down,” he added.
Singh alleged that the Chief Minister and his party, for their political interests by politicising the administrative system. The administrative officials were pressurised for illegal works of the party, he claimed.
With his statement, Singh alleged that the Chief Minister is trying to give a message that he wants several things to do, but the officials are not working properly at ground level. He sought an explanation from the Chouhan over the statement, asking as what made him speak out such harsh words against officials after 14 years of rule in the State.
Singh alleged that in almost all the districts, those pressurising the district Collectors for wrong deeds are none other than BJP cadres or associated with those in the Government. This was evident, with recent allegations by BJP legislators Neelam Mishra and Parul Sahu towards a Minister, Singh added.
If Chief Minister wants to put a check on the working of district Collectors, he should immediately stop his partymen and the Ministers from pressurising the Collectors for illegal works, he suggested.
