Ajay Singh characterise Chief Minister as Nero

The State unit of Congress targeted Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan characterising him as the Nero of Madhya Pradesh who is busy in celebrations while the graph of atrocities on women in the state is on rapid rise.

"In the same manner as Nero, who was playing flute when Rome was burning to ashes, the Chief Minister is lost in singing 'faag' with his party members while assaults on women's honour in the state is increasing," alleged leader of Opposition Ajay Singh on Friday.

Ajay Singh has also demanded that the Guna Superintendent of Police (SP) and all the police officials of Bajrang Gate police station should be immediately suspended for their failure to nab the rape accused leading to self-immolation by the minor victim.

"The incident in Guna, where a minor girl tried to immolate herself on inability of the police to nab the accused who had raped her exposes the real face of BJP Government in the state. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who never fails in losing any chance to become messiah of women, is not moved a bit by the atrocities that are being done on women in the state," he said.

Ajay Singh said that four incidents of gang rape and two rapes in last 2-3 days have again lowered the face of Madhya Pradesh in shame.

"But the Chief Minister and BJP Government in the state have no shame left in them. The fact is that criminals do not fear the police or law and order any more. The incidents of gang rape in Indore, Chhatarpur, Shajapur and Bhind and the rape in Dhar prove this fact very clearly," he added.
