Ajay demands FIR against Bhadouriya

Published on:

leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has demanded immediate registration of an FIR against BJP Vice-President Arvind Bhadouriya for hatching conspiracy against Congress legislator Hemant Katare.

In a statement, Singh said that an affidavit submitted by the student of Makhanlal National Chaturvedi University of Journalism in the Jabalpur High Court raises strong aspersions on the State government. It also indicated that prisons in Madhya Pradesh have become centres for taking political revenge.

In this regard, Singh has written letters to Chief Minister and Director General of Police (DGP) for registering an FIR against accused under sections 182, 211 and 120 B of the IPC and stern action should be taken against the jailer concerned, because he overlooked the jail manual under political pressure. Besides, it is a matter of investigation, as how the co-accused in the previous case Vikramjeet Singh, who is absconding for past three months, managed to reach the jail, Singh added.

In the letters, Singh expressed surprise as why an FIR was registered for abduction and rape against Congress legislator soon after an advocate and others meet the accused girl student in the jail.

Registration of an FIR against Congress MlA was clear indication that the police registered the FIR without any prior investigation under political pressure.

If police can register FIR against Congress MlA only on the basis of student’s letter to police, why the police are delaying an FIR against BJP leader Arvind Bhadouriya against whom the same student has submitted an affidavit in the High Court, Singh asked.

Singh stated that it was shameful that an absconding accused manages to reach the jail and pressurized the victim.
