In the Young Blood Competition it was the JAT Regimental Centre and Sikh lI Regimental Centre all the way, winning four of the five trophies which were up for grabs, which included the Overall Champion (DG Inf Cup & YBC Banner),  Best Pistol Team  (Bhandari Cup),  Overall Second Runner Up    (Bengal Punjab Rifle Association Cup)  & Best in Rifle Team  (Gen KV Krishna Rao Trophy) respectively.  The Rajput Regimental Centre walked away with the Overall Runners Up (Tata Cup).

Chief Guest of the event lt Gen AS Nandal, UYSM, AVSM, SM the Commandant, Infantry School, was received by Colonel JS Saran, VSM Commanding Officer, and AMU.  In the closing address, the General Officer complimented the medal winners for their splendid performance and also asked the others not to lose their heart as this is just the beginning.  He lauded the performance of the teams of JAT Regimental Centre, Sikh lI and Rajput Regimental Centre for their splendid performance.  The aim of the competition to spot young talent amongst Officers and Recruits/Sepoys with potential in Precision Shooting, for participation at National and International events, he mentioned the 'Josh' and vigor displayed by various shooters brings the goal of an Olympic Gold closer.

The General Officer made a special mention of the cadets of NDA and RIMC for their praiseworthy performance.  He also complimented Col JS Saran, VSM, Commanding Officer, and AMU for the excellent conduct of the championship and the role Army Marksmanship Unit is playing in nurturing of young talent.

It would also be interesting to watch that how he manages Scindia, Pachouri and Satyavrat Chaturvedi factions to share dais as it is these three factions that are considered as the most difficult nuts to get cracked, while it would be easy to bring Digvijay Singh and Kamalnath factions on the same stage as Diggy and Nath have often supported Harvansh.

For the time being, Harvansh by increasing his activities in the State Congress headquarters is trying to give a message that he would be able in successfully establishing coordination among the senior leaders and their supporters.

Sources from the party informed that the work is considered to be very challenging for the seasoned politician because of the supporters of those leaders who have played important role for getting the important and responsible job to him. Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, MPCC president Kantilal Bhuria and leader of opposition in the State assembly Ajay Singh are said to be behind the curtains for getting this responsibility to Harvansh but the supporters of Bhuria are out to spread the word that this responsibility to Harvansh is not a fulltime job and that his services would be needed only if some misunderstanding would arise in the leaders over some programme or issue and the immediate thing he need to do is to prove himself in the Jabalpur and Indore divisional convention, sources added.

The lower leaders the MPCC President Kantilal Bhuria administered oath to party workers and the district presidents to become active in the field and call on meetings of their respective areas. All the leaders and office bearers residing in their areas should be invited for the meetings be they belong to any faction or group. District president is the head of the family and he should treat all equally, Bhuria added.

Senior leaders of the state and their stage sharing the Congress general secretary and state in-charge BK Hariprasad while talking to the 'Viva City' said, all the senior leaders of the state remain present in the meetings held in New Delhi. There could be difference of opinion among the party leaders but they are all united for the cause of the party. There is nothing wrong in central ministers touring the state, he added.

He said that the party stands united and would take on the ruling BJP with full might in the coming assembly elections. In the State unit he said, efforts are on to curb it and we are sure that we when the party would go in the assembly election it would be completely united and together would we oust the BJP from the power.

He said that the state organisation is working in unison and all the elected representatives of the party have also been instructed to establish coordination with the party organisation. The leader of opposition Ajay Singh and State Congress president Kantilal Bhuria said that both the leaders are in very good rapport with each other and  are working together to strengthen the party organisation. While Singh is leading the party strongly in the assembly; Bhuria is leaving no chance to corner the ruling BJP on the roads, he added.

Party organisation has instructed the state and district office bearers to register strong presence on the ground and start reaching masses with the failures of the BJP government and aware them with the rampart corruption under saffron party's rule to pave way for gaining power in the state.

Political observers in the state are of the view that there is not much time left for the Congress to get united for the assembly elections and that it would have to hurry for establishing peace not only among the warring factions but also among the supporters of the leaders to wrest power from the BJP.
