The city’s healthcare system will remain on high alert during the Global Investors Summit later this month, informed district health authorities on Thursday.
The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Bhopal, Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, said directives have been issued to all government and private healthcare institutions to ensure comprehensive medical services during the event, which will be attended by top leaders, officials, and captains of industry.
The alert will remain in force from February 23 to 26. Air ambulances will be on standby, while all 108 ambulances in Bhopal district will be operational, with additional ambulances from nearby districts ready for deployment. Specialised ambulances with advanced medical equipment will accompany VIP convoys, and blood donors will be on standby.
ICU wards at both government and private hospitals will be reserved, and medical teams, paramedics, and ambulances will be stationed at the event venue for immediate assistance. All medical equipment, ambulances, and power systems are being checked to ensure full functionality.
