Terming the encounter of Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) near Bhopal, as fake, All India Milli Council (AIMC) has on Tuesday demanded a judicial probe in the incident under the supervision of the High Court.
AIMC State President Arif Masood along with the other Muslim leaders submitted a memorandum to Governor in this regard.
Masood alleged that this was a fake encounter as well as this was a pre-planned conspiracy as the central jail, Bhopal has around 250 CCTV cameras but none inside the jail premises was working. The CCTV camera near the main gate was the only working camera in the central jail. This indicates the conspiracy of the jail officials, he alleged.
Through the memorandum, Masood demanded that the call details of the Jail Superintendent, Deputy Superintendents and Assistant Superintendent should be investigated in order to know their roles in the jailbreak conspiracy.
Masood further alleged that the escape of the eight activists was not possible without the support of the jail officials as it is a high-security jail.
The prisoners could never cross the high walls of the jail as the warders watch the jail round the clock from the towers.
