AIMC asks people to vote for candidates with secular credentials

The Madhya Pradesh unit of the All India Milli Council (AIMC) on the advice of its national general secretary, Mohammad Manzoor Alam, on Tuesday urged the people of the state to cast their votes for those who walk on the secular path with faith in the Indian Constitution.

AIMC pradesh president, Wafa Siddiqui, in a press release appealed to the people of the state to cast their votes in favour of secular candidates of any party who can defeat "fascist forces" like the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Shiv Sena and others in the country.

They cautioned the innocent people of the state not to be taken in by words of BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, who has no faith in the secular character of the country.

Our main aim was to boost the unity among different sections of the society, in general, and the Muslims in particular, the release said.
