The ALL INDIA institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal will observe the 7th Jan Aushadhi Diwas Week from March 1 to 7, 2025, with a series of events aimed at raising awareness about the availability and benefits of affordable, high-quality medicines at Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
This initiative aligns with the Government of India's Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), which seeks to provide cost-effective medicines to the masses and promote the use of generic drugs.
Throughout the week, AIIMS Bhopal will engage patients, medical professionals, and the general public in various awareness programs, workshops, and interactive sessions. Medicines available at Jan Aushadhi Kendras are priced 50-90% lower than branded alternatives, enabling families to save on healthcare costs. The increasing number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras ensures that people across urban and rural areas can easily access these cost-effective medications.
